THE STORY
One bite into a JAM Hot Chicken sando and you already know what the deal is. It’s craftsmanship and soul and culture. It’s a childhood of hip hop influence lovingly channeled into what’s now dubbed as the best chicken sandwich in Orlando (fight us on this). They came to us with ideas and visions. We translated that into a brand that pays homage to Orlando’s culture.

THE THINKING
Music was always part of the JAM Hot spirit. So we pushed that idea into a tangible vibe — it’s an art direction and ambiance centered on illustration, 90s nostalgia, and “come chill” culture.
APPLICATION
+ Established a creative direction that guided the environmental experience
+ Designed a brand identity that expanded into illustration, apparel, and mural artwork
+ Crafted a brand strategy that centered on themes of 90s nostalgia, hip hop, and Orlando culture
+ Web design and dev that includes an interactive beat machine
+ Produced video, photo, and graphic content
THE RESULTS
A brand that could live and breathe beyond a visual identity — we helped curate the ambiance, personality, and art direction that allowed JAM Hot Chicken to feel like no other chicken joint in the country. This isn’t just a chicken shack, it’s a cultural space in Orlando.

Vibe Check
The brand is meant to create a cultural space in the city — the environment is an entirely intentional experience. They’re blasting hip hop on outdoor speakers, a giant tree shades over community tables in lieu of solo seating, and a bathroom that feels like your older brother’s bedroom circa 1996.

The JAM Board
For the website we built a beat machine and asked users to create and share their own music. The sample set included 90s soundscapes, some 808s, and themes of fire.
